A NEW ADVENTURE

I am tired, I have entertained the thought of resting, but no, not me...instead, I have this crazy idea to start a blog!
I only have a short time before Daniel arrives home from school early, to take him to a dental appointment. This, I know from past experience, will be very draining, both physically and emotionally, on all involved in the appointment. Cameron is home from school today too, so he will come too...a burden shared is a burden halved...or so they say. Lezanne has suggested I take a video of Daniel in the dental chair and post it to you-tube...this is funny for several reasons:
1) I am tired and thus actually entertaining this thought
2) I don't know how to post to you-tube
3) Cameron has agreed to be the cameraman
4) Anyone who knows us well, knows what an A grade performance Daniel will give in the dental chair!

I can tell you now, that this won't happen...ok, the videoing might happen, and the performance will most definitely happen, but posting to you-tube won't.
As Lezanne rightly said...aren't we cruel for even thinking it! Cruel, but funny. Oh I know I am tired, the more tired I am, the more funnier the situation is.

The courier man just arrived...much excitement as the red van pulls up the driveway and the doorbell rings.
Cameron retrieves the parcel...

...it is addressed to Danielle Carter...
I let Cameron open it.I can tell he is in wonder of what is in the parcel.

The parcel is ripped open and suddenly Cameron drops it like it is a hot potato and lets out a yelp, then runs away...

It is "girly stuff". Good, just what I needed, and in a nice little purse too!

I can hear the cat meowing.

It is "Skinny" aka "Dudley" aka "vomit breath" aka "Victoria" after Victoria Beckham...there is no way he is coming in. Yesterday he vomited on the cushion, the day before on the couch, and I have had enough of cleaning it all up. Skinny already had a ban on being inside...I secretly think Nicola felt sorry for him and let him in.

Well, no one feels sorry for him anymore after that escapade. Except maybe Nicola - she made this poster and plans to put it up around The Landing today.

In my muddled mind state this morning (due to no fault of anyone's apart from my body telling me to wake up at ungodly times during the night), I decided to bake.
Pizza scrolls and an apple puff pastry dessert - that should keep the troops happy for oh, say a day or possibly two.

The birds are happy with the crumbs and leftovers...not quite sure what type of bird this is, but you don't see them in Wellington. Pretty yellow eyemakeup on em!

My sister visits next week, the countdown is on...I want to show her all that is great about my new home town. Plus enjoy her gorgeous company. There is a nine year gap between us, but this difference has no bearing in how well we get on.
I consider myself very lucky to have another "adopted" sis who I get on equally well with.
I am so happy to have moved to within driving distance of her, but the other side of the coin is I have moved far away from my true blood sis....swings and roundabouts...gotta make the best of the situation so am grateful to have her visit us next week and will be making the most of it.

My blog is not intended to be inspirational...but don't get me wrong, I love reading inspirational messages, and in fact, this was my main motivation for starting this blog of my own.
This is merely a day in the life of....yours truly.
